I need your honesty... To start with this week, can you give me some feedback please? I’ve written this newsletter now for 12 years and I’ve never missed a single week in all that time, that’s nearly 600 editions. I’ve also written articles for the British PGA, the Daily Telegraph and many other publications and websites with many favourable comments for my style of writing and content over the years. I’ve always tried to impart some useful knowledge, add commentary to golfing events, let you know what we’re up to, how we can help and naturally advertise our services and products. I’m comfortable placing more emphasis on the information and less emphasis on selling gear through this medium than others may do which may be why my newsletters tend to be lengthier. It’s been suggested that the most effective newsletters are between 500 and 750 words long yet mine are usually double that. But maybe that’s not what you want anymore? Some golf pros are recording 3 minute videos to talk about their news instead of writing them. Others are writing much shorter content which is another option (one of the ideas of this is that it allows you time to read beyond my section and into the advertising and call-to-action sections below). A third option is to cease the newsletter and to post on social media like Facebook or YouTube instead, or I could carry on as I currently do. Given that this little section has already take up 280 words, could you let me know by clicking below what you would like to see please? Shorter content, videos instead, keep it the same or anything else you suggest. Many thanks in advance. Click here to let me know your thoughts.
