I have one more newsletter this year to send out to you and if for some reason the spam filters stop it reaching you, can I take this opportunity to thank you once again on behalf of myself, Katie and the Pro Shop team, for your support and friendship throughout the year. Thanks as well to all the non-member readers of this newsletter who often send me positive feedback. Here’s a comment I received just this week from a reader who had asked me a question relating to a golf club that he is buying from his local shop - “I will take your advice and change to match my 3 wood and rescue. Thanks very much for the advice which I have found equally as valuable as your newsletter”. Nice to be able to grow the game and help produce better golf, even just with advice. The Pro Shop team have lots planned next year to coincide with the club’s 125 year anniversary which we’ll be showcasing as soon as this newsletter returns after Christmas including a significant announcement straight after New Year. In the meantime, I’ll be sending out your member accounts detailing your credits and debits - now is a good time of year to clear your credits and invest it in the new technology for the coming season. Next weekend, the 22nd we’ll be hosting a Christmas Pro’s Fiddle. It will be a 2-Ball Texas Scramble played off a mixture of different tees and there’ll be a few prizes out on the course too and probably some nibbles and maybe something warming to go in your coffee! Texas Scramble is always a popular, fun format, if you need fixing up, just let us know on 01785 661485. We aim to draw the Christmas Raffle on this day as well so if you haven’t had a go yet, make sure you do so before next weekend. We’ve got the shop fully stocked with woolly hats, mittens and hand warmers ready for the cold weather that’s forecast. Mind you, it’s better than last year as these pictures from this day last year show.
