Exciting developments in the Pro Shop We’ve been hard at work over the winter improving our golf equipment offering to you which you may have noticed with the increase in our demo matrix and equipment offerings in the Pro Shop. Just as I utilise the services of Foremost Golf to provide promotions, marketing and e-commerce - I’ve teamed up with a club fitting organisation which has enabled us to treble the array of brands that we have full access to and most of them have allowed us to build the clubs on-site here at Brocton. There are only six other places in the UK that can do this and we’ve had to pass stringent tests and adhere to very specific guidelines to be allowed to do so. |

As I work to bring all the benefits to you, you’ll start to see some new displays and signage and it’s a busy time as things are changing every day. Just today we received some new stamps for personalising clubs which are the same ones that Titleist use on their Vokey wedges.

Come and get fitted! As we continue to get our new demo matrix organised and all the buzz is about the incredible new drivers on the market, an opportunity now develops for golfers to get the previous models at great prices - in many cases half of their original price. These can be tested in our studio with different shafts and then custom fitted to a particular length, flex, shaft and grip size. It’s rarely a good idea to take the clubs out on the course or to the range as there are too many variables to contend with and they wouldn’t be set up correctly for you. |

We currently have four TaylorMade heads, one Callaway, one Miura, one PING, one Mizuno and one Cleveland for you to choose from.

Great golf in the months ahead... Many golfers, myself included, considered that the beginning of the golfing season was annually heralded by the Masters at Augusta in early April. However that all appears to have changed as there have been many iconic tournaments on the other side of the pond in the past two months and this week sees the Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass return to its original March date for the first time since 2006. The schedule of the USPGA Tour and Men’s Major Championships has changed so that each month in high season there is a significant event: March - Players Championship April - Major #1 The Masters May - Major #2 USPGA Championship June - Major #3 US Open July - Major #4 The Open August - Fed Ex Cup Playoffs September - The Tour Championship October - Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup
I’ve been fortunate enough to watch the last round of the Players Championship and played TPC Sawgrass half a dozen times and the rough is extremely punishing Bermuda grass which is grown over four inches high. Apparently this week they have left it at just two inches high due to the earlier date in the growing calendar so we may see scores similar to when Greg Norman won with -24 in 1994. |
Motocaddy has always been at the forefront of trolley innovation, with the world's first GPS electric trolley amongst their ranks. Well, this year they’ve made some significant upgrades to the immensly popular S1 model, which we think you're going to love. |
| New Motocaddy S1 electric trolley (2019) |
|
We don't like using the term 'entry level' to describe the new S1 as it offers so much more than what this suggests. At first glance, you'll take a liking to its modernised styling and graphics, which will really help make it stand out from other trolleys on the market. Then you get to its technology: new and improved sunlight-friendly LCD display, nine speed settings, advanced battery meter so you needn't worry about it running out mid-round without knowing, and a super-lightweight Lithium battery to name but a few. The new S1 for 2019 is as good as it gets at this price point, so pop in-store to take a look and get one in your hands. |
