Who knew? We’ve recently discovered that apparently coffee grounds are good for the garden as a slow release fertiliser - who knew? We dispose of a shoe box size amount of used coffee grounds every week from the Pro Shop so we’ll save them up and if you’d like some to sprinkle on your botanicals, let me know. The change in weather this week was well forecast and coincides with our new range of ladies autumn clothing from Island Green arriving in store, pop in and have a look. I’ve also been testing out the Stuburt range of performance winter clothing (because I’m always cold!) and I think they’re onto a winner with base layers, chill-out tops and padded jackets at a fraction of the price of some of their competitors. We’ve ordered some which will be here next week so keep an eye out for them as well. These days it’s all about layering and using technical garments to stay comfortable and warm and still be able to put a good swing on a club. Well done to the junior team who finished runners up in the County Finals at Calderfields on Sunday playing against Trentham. This was the culmination of the year’s matches and followed a win away against Beau Desert last week in the Semi Final which is always a feat in itself. All year the team have exemplified sportsmanship and played with camaraderie and competitiveness in equal measure and been a superb advert for the club and themselves. Well done to you all!
