How are you all doing out there? Hopefully your house has become an 'Isolation Inspiration Station' and you've got plenty of plans for when you get back out to the golf course? I know there's far more relevant news topics than golf but hey, I'm a Golf Pro at a great golf club with great members and I live and breath the game, I wear Brocton Hall underpants (Hmmm, there's an idea!) and I'm going to keep focusing on the positives in all this and keep you inspired to return to this game with even more zest and vigour than ever before. I'm sitting here looking over the putting green and it's a beautifully frustrating sight as the greens have been tined, dressed and mown and are looking better and more colourful every day. Similarly all the divots have been raked off the fairways and top dressing applied, when we get back out there's not going to be a divot or a pitch mark anywhere. For the members, I've been posting daily videos and questions on Facebook on the Brocton Hall Tuesday Social page - it was already set up to share the results of Tuesday Social competititons and already had lots of members so it was the easiest way to communiacate regularly. There's been some really funny ideas for names of the holes at Brocton, we're onto hole number 5 today. Just search for Brocton Hall Tuesday Social and ask to join. The coaching videos are a series in which I'm giving you the 'Secret Sauce' of how golf swings work and this imformation is rarely seen and is often a Game Changer for people. It's currently only for Brocton Hall members on the Tuesday Social page and also on the Brocton Hall Juniors Whatsapp but I'll share it further afield in a few weeks.
We've been super busy and I've taken the opportunity to Spring clean after 18 years at Brocton. We've cleared out and tidied every room, stock checked everything, painted, planned, tidied up all the computers files and I've event taken the till system home and work on that in the evenings. More importantly, whilst the shop is closed, I'm here to take your subs by credit card if you wish and I'm available to contact if you have any queries about your golf, the current situation, your future plans or even if you just want to have a chinwag. Personally, it's been nice to have some time to talk and I've had lots of Facetime and Zoom meetings with a wide variety of people including my old boss and fellow Assistant from 20 years ago, a personal and business coach and some industry guru's. I've got two meetings set up today and tomorrows is a 7:30am get together of 40 pro-active golf pro's from around the UK and all these meetings get me so motivated for the future. |
