Changes to the shop
The other change is that we've moved the counter area to the shop doorway ahead of Friday's guideline that you have to wear masks in shops. I got in touch with the environment agency for a clarification of the ruling as many members will be no more than 10 feet in the shop for less than a minute as they grab a card or a coffee or simply check-in. We spend the bulk of our time acting as a reception rather than a retail shop but the advice was that if it looks like a standalone shop and it's not impractical to wear a mask, then the Government rule should be followed. So, we've had the till software installed on a laptop, placed a desk in the doorway, arranged some items like balls and refreshments on the ramp and we're ready to grab your coffees and purchase items at the doorway for you. Of course, you're more than welcome to come into the shop but you'll need to wear a mask. I've also had 50 masks made with the Brocton Hall logo that you can buy but they won't be here for a week. We've also created a two-way system on the ramp to the front door and introduced 2 metre social distancing markers. Should the front entrance get too busy, we've made a pathway straight through the shop to the back door and it's okay for you to go straight through the shop without a mask in order to exit that way if necessary. Anyone visiting the studio can register at the desk, then go straight to the back door and up the stairs. Now that masks are worn we can allow 4 golfers at a time to be in the shop - just remember to sanitize before you touch anything and keep away from others, the shop layout helps promote this too. Soon, every fashion store will have funky designed masks as must-have items for sale by the tills and it will simply be a case of remembering when you leave the house to take your keys, phone, wallet and mask. We've got some really nice items of clothing in the shop from Oscar Jacobson, Stuburt and Island Green and you can take anything home with you to try on. If the weather's nice, we hope to display some items outside the shop for you to see.
Finally, hopefully, by the time you read this you'll all be celebrating The Baggies return to the Premier League! |
