This week will be his last official one as he's having a complete 'about-turn' and joining the military very soon.  He's off to the Yorkshire moors next week on a selection process before joining the parachute regiment as soon as there's an opening.  

We were expecting this to be 2-4 weeks after the Yorkshire event but it may now not be until January or March which is frustrating for Mike.  

In the meantime, he'll still be available for coaching, which he's been busy with recently and you'll often see him on the golf course too.

Thanks so much, Mike for all your hard work, professionalism and banter. You've been a great sounding board to bounce ideas off and I've always valued your input - I know you're more than ready for the adventure of a lifetime and I've no doubt you'll be a huge asset to your country.
