Here's a quick video about how the lie angle of a club, particularly irons and wedges, can be adjusted to help your golf ball start in the right direction. I'm aiming to record 5-7 minute videos on YouTube for most topics - I just need to find the time to do them! I've been setting my alarm earlier every day to coincide with the sunrise so currently just moving into the 4am - 5am hour. There are certainly some beautiful scenes early in the morning - as our hardworking green staff will testify.

It's been great to be able to use the garden pods again with some warmer weather - this time last year they were the only place we were allowed to meet up with others and what a welcome addition to the club they were. It's certainly my happy place for a swift mid-morning coffee break and if you think I'm photographing you playing on the 9th hole, I'm not - there's a family of moorhens which pay a daily visit.

The pods will hopefully be our venue on June 12th for my 20th anniversary Garden Party. Starting from 4pm with a BBQ available from 5pm and 'Brogan and Fran' coming on at 6pm to entertain us all. It's free to attend and £15 for a ticket for the BBQ - it will be great to see everyone there.  Lots of my staff throughout the years are coming along and it promises to be a great chance to get together. The talk this week has been about the second major of the year on the men's tour, the PGA Championship and in particular, the focus has been on Tiger Woods in practice and the cost of a beer on the course which is $19. Good luck to everyone who has had a go in our sweep - if you missed out, the next sweep will be for the US Open in June - keep a lookout for it. I think the safe bets this week would be for the consistent golfers to come top 10, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Matt Kuchar and Shane Lowry to name a few. I could see a streaky player winning with a low score, someone like Sam Burns or Rory McIlroy.
